Phil Burgess, Captain
Phil, born and educated in London, England, has since made the South of France and Florida his home.  Phil started a career as an architect but a chance trip to Greece changed his mind . . . on the way to Greece the car broke down in Monte Carlo, what else was an 18-year-old to do but check out the harbor full of yachts.  Phil started as a deckhand in the South of France and worked his way up the ranks.  Now he has over 30 years of yachting experience, twenty of them as Captain!  He holds a 3000-ton Masters License and has accumulated over 300,000 miles of seatime, extensively cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas, West and East Coast USA, Canada, Alaska, Mexico, the Far East and the Polynesian Islands.  His natural affinity with people, extensive knowledge, and accommodating attitude make him a perfect fit as a charter captain.  His hobbies include scuba diving, golf, and alpine skiing.

Timothy Ward, Engineer
Tim, a true Southern gentleman (although he is officially from New Hampshire), has lived in various parts of the U.S. from Hawaii to Savannah. He served in the U.S. Submarine Service for six years specializing in electronics.  He has worked in marine shipyards constructing various vessels, from ocean tugs to supply ships and destroyers.  But, most importantly, Tim worked from start to finish on the construction/engineering of this vesselwhen he then made the switch from land back to sea.  His interests include hunting, scuba diving, skiing, golf, travel, and, of course, the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox!

Christopher Cantrell, Chef
After growing up in the beautiful states of Louisianna and North Carolina, Chris continued to seek the outdoors so lucky for us he sailed right into private yachts.  He has been chef’ing for 6 years where he’s traveled from the Azores to Antibe; from Bermuda to the Bahamas.   But where else could you find a chef that has worked on a shrimpboat, tugboat, and was once a fly fishing guide but aboard our wonderfully diverse boat!  Chris has an engaging smile, laid back attitude and an aptitude to please. His hobbies include flyfishing, backpacking and freediving.

Kaki Twist, Chief Stewardess
Kaki hails from the good ‘ole USA.  She has lived all over but her two favorites (on land) are her home state of Arkansas (she may not have a Southern drawl but she still says ya’ll and yes m’am) and Chicago, where she worked for many years at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.  She left corporate America (and the Chicago winters) because life is just too short.  So, she kicked off her heels and headed south where she has crewed on several charter yachts over the years.  Kaki’s contagious smile, great personality and, not to mention, brilliant bartending skills are a tremendous asset aboard our vessel.  She has certifications in Silver Service, Chief Stewardess, and Infant CPR (and if there were a certification for martini making she’d have it!).  She loves a good book, scuba diving, entertaining, and now learning to play golf with Phil.

Mark Rojas, First Mate
Mark was born in Pennsylvania USA but was brought up in Miami Beach.  His love for the ocean started at a young age . . . the first moment he stepped foot on a beach!  He’s been in the yachting industry for close to ten years now and does not intend to ever leave it.  Mark holds a USCG Captain’s license and is looking forward to taking command of his own boat someday (it better not be any day soon!!!).  His hobbies are fishing, diving, surfing, and boating in general.  He likes NFL Football, and his favorite team, of course, is the Miami Dolphins and whoever is playing the New England Patriots.  Watch out, Tim!

Linden Furniss, Deckhand
AQUASITION’s newest acquisition is from New Zealand.  Linden grew up on a farm near Auckland lending to his love for the outdoors so when he left school he undertook an apprentiship in timber joinery.  That job, in turn, led him to a job fitting out yacht interiors.  This gave him a great insight into the yachting industry and water sports.  He enjoys all sorts of activities including camping, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, boxing, kickboxing, riding motor bikes,  and well, basicially anything that gets the adrenaline going.

Linnea Elfström, Second Stewardess
Born and raised in southern Sweden, Linnea grew up with her mind set on a career in biomedicine. After finishing college with a degree in Nature Science she moved down to the South of France to learn French and broaden her horizons. A year later, being fluent in French and with a complete change of heart regarding her career, she slipped into yachting. 3 years, 4 Atlantic crossings and various trips around the Mediterranean, Caribbean, USA and southeast Asia she has found her way to us. When yachting finally cures her wanderlust she is planning on returning to university to study International Economics. But not before making a trip to South America to add Spanish to her resume. She loves to sing (and does so quite frequently!). Other interests include sewing, traveling, languages and photography.

Katy Rose, Stewardess
Katy joins us from Sunny South Africa, where she grew up in the beautiful seaside city of Cape Town. After spending a year at the University of Cape Town (studying Political Science and Philosophy), Katy realized that life onboard a yacht was what really appealed to her, and it is a PERFECT fit since she hails from parents that have a hotel industry background.  With a love of fine food paired with a dedication to great service, she is the perfect “yachtie”! Katy loves traveling and learning about different cultures (and the local cuisine!). She also enjoys reading, writing and savouring the natural beauty of South Africa.
